Men 16th in First Regular Season National Poll

NEW ORLEANS - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's cross country team ranked No. 16 this week in the U.S. Track &Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national polls released early this morning. The men's team is striving for a top 10 ranking this season. 

Although UCCS fell in the rankings from No. 12 in the preseason polls, the South Central Region had three teams in the top five (Adams State, Western State and Colorado Mines).UCCS was ranked fifth in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South Central Regional Polls released Tuesday.

The men's team will be competing this Saturday, Sept. 21, in the Colorado College Invitational at Monument Valley Park in downtown Colorado Springs.  The eight-kilometer course is on mostly flat, gravel roads. Among UCCS will be other Division II schools as well as NAIA and Division III schools.
