Misch Holds Third Annual Free Cross Country Camp This Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Runners from ages 10 through 19 can participate in free technical sessions, group training runners and guest speakers in the Third Annual Colorado Springs Free City-Wide Cross Country Camp organized by University of Colorado Colorado Springs Head Men's Cross Country Mark Misch. The camp takes place each night from 5:30-8 p.m. at Monument Valley Park North from July 29-Aug. 2.

Campers will participate in a variety of workouts each night and in technical sessions to address numerous facets of cross country running. Twenty-one guest speakers will be spread out over the five nights to provide additional insight into running.

Campers should meet on the lower field near the traditional start/finish area for cross country meets at Monument Valley Park. Parking is available along Fontanero and Culebra streets. Runners can print and sign a waiver and registration form through the camp's website.

The camp is free through partnerships with Runners Roost Colorado, Pikes Peak Road Runners, Boulder Running Company, The Colorado Running Company, SwiftWick, Synergy Manual Physical Therapy, Living Stones Church, PikesPeakSports.us and Diem Sportsgear.
