UCCS Receiving USTFCCCA National Votes

NEW ORLEANS-The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's cross country team received a vote this week in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national polls released early Wednesday morning. With fewer votes this week, Stonehill and Montana St.-Billings moved ahead of UCCS in votes.

Five of the top 25 teams are from RMAC while the top 10 ranked teams remained the same.

UCCS competed Oct. 5, at the Metro State Invitational at Washington Park in Denver. Ryder Tam finished as the top runner for the Mountain Lions with a time of 27 minutes, 2 seconds as the team finished second overall. Metro State finished first overall in the meet. Matt Winfrey, Luke Dakin, Nick Baca, and Alex Nelson also finished to score for the Mountain Lions.

UCCS will be competing next at the RMAC Championships on Oct. 26, in Silver City, N.M.
