Mountain Lions Remain Seventh in Regional Polls

NEW ORLEANS-The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's cross country team is ranked seventh in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South Central Regional polls released early Tuesday morning.  The top 10 ranked teams remained unchanged from the previous poll with six RMAC teams.  

UCCS competed Oct. 5 at the Metro State Invitational at Washington Park in Denver.  The Mountain Lions finished second overall.  Ryder Tam finished fifth among attached collegiate runners in a time of 27 minutes, 2 seconds on the eight-kilometer course. 

The Mountain Lions did not compete this past weekend but have been training for the Regional Championships less than a month away. 

Up next: The Mountain Lions will be competing in the RMAC Championships on Oct. 26, in Silver City, N.M.
