Dave Lahnert enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Mountain Lions. His coaching experience includes, 18 years with girls basketball and ten years with boys baseball at Lewis Palmer High School. He also coached several years at Creekside Middle School (five years, boys basketball and six years, football). Lahnert is a 1977 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Education. He was also a catcher for the men's baseball team. With his degree, he taught for 34 years in the Lewis Palmer School District #38. Throughout his teaching career he taught third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade. He recently retired in May 2010. His wife of 30 years, Laurie, is also a retired teacher from school district #11. Lahnert and his wife have two sons, Todd and Luke. Todd is 26 years old and is serving in Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne. He is a First Lieutenant. Luke is 24 years old and works for the ski industry in Breckenridge, CO
