Kirchoff Earns Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group Athlete of the Week Award

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Junior guard Abby Kirchoff of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team is the Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group Athlete of the Week for Jan. 20-26. She was the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week and helped lead the Mountain Lions to a 2-0 record at home last weekend.

Kirchoff averaged 18.5 points per game and recorded her second double-double of the season against Black Hills State on Friday night. She is in the top 15 of Division II in scoring (22.6 points per game) and free throw percentage (89.4 percent). She has scored at least 10 points in the last 23 games.

Kirchoff is ranked in the top 10 of the RMAC in three-point percentage, scoring, free throw percentage, field goal percentage, three-pointers per game and rebounding. She is fifth in UCCS records for career points, third in points in a junior season and is on pace to break the record for season points per game.
