COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs will continue one of its best seasons in program history and look to extend a five-game winning streak on Friday night when the Mountain Lions (14-6 / 11-5 RMAC) take on Adams State (14-6 / 10-6 RMAC) at 7:30 p.m., in the Gallogly Events Center.

UCCS won the first game against the Grizzlies 97-93 on Dec. 7 in Alamosa, Colo., behind a team-high 19 points from Darius Pardner. Another win against Adams State on Friday would be the first six-game win streak since an eight-game win streak in February 2001. A win would also tie this year's Mountain Lions for second in single-season win records with 15 and guarantee a winning record at home in 2013-14.

The Mountain Lions have scored at least 80 points and outrebounded their opponents in every game of the five-game winning streak. UCCS is shooting 46.7 percent from the field during the streak and winning games by an average of 14 points.

Derrick White, the defending RMAC Offensive Player of the Week, is coming off of the best offensive performance in a conference game in UCCS history. He scored 38 points against Colorado State-Pueblo last Saturday night in the Second Annual Downtown Classic and moved into fifth in UCCS sophomore season records with 372 this season. White is 49 points away from tying for No. 10 in program career scoring records and is 60 points away from No. 10 in season scoring records.

Adams State started the RMAC season with a 1-4 record, but has won its last six conference games, including a road wins at Colorado Mines and Colorado Christian. Five Grizzlies are averaging at least 10 points, led by Juwan Buchanan, and Mike Hemsley is leading the rebounding effort with 6.8 boards per game.

Fans can follow Friday's game for free with live stats from UCCS and with live audio on the Mountain Lion YouTube page. Live pay-per-view video streaming will also be available through America One Sports. M.J. Arjomandi will call the action for the YouTube and America One broadcast feeds.
