White Scores Career-High 38 in Downtown Classic

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Derrick White scored a career-high 38 points for the second-best performance in University of Colorado Colorado Springs history to lead the Mountain Lions (14-6 / 11-5 RMAC) to an 84-75 victory against Colorado State-Pueblo (11-9 / 9-7 RMAC) tonight in the Second Annual Downtown Classic in the historic Colorado Springs City Auditorium.

Alex Welsh finished with his third double-double of the season with 13 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. White finished one rebound away from his second straight double-double.

The win moves the Mountain Lions into a tie for second in program win records and two victories away from the single-season victories record. UCCS stays in third in the RMAC standings with six games left in the regular season and could clinch a playoff spot as early as next weekend.
