Carter Scores Season-High at #6 Roadrunners
DENVER, Colo. - Jordan Carter scored a season-high 11 points as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs dropped an 95-59 game to No. 6 Metro State tonight in the Auraria Events Center. It was the 16th double-digit game in his career.
The Mountain Lions (4-3 / 1-2 RMAC) finished with 36 rebounds, tied for the most allowed by the Roadrunners (5-1 / 2-0 RMAC) this season. Alex Welsh led UCCS with six rebounds and was one of eight Mountain Lions to finish with multiple rebounds.
Welsh and Derrick White each finished with eight points and Darius Pardner scored seven points on a three-of-six performance from the field. Welsh's 52.1 percent from the field this season is ranked fifth in the RMAC.
Up Next: UCCS will remain in the Denver metro area for a 5 p.m., game on Saturday against Regis. The Rangers (3-4 / 0-2 RMAC) fell to Colorado State-Pueblo tonight 85-55.
