UCCS Clinches First Round Home Game for RMAC Shootout
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs will host a first round game of the 2013 RMAC Shootout Women's Basketball Quarterfinals. The Mountain Lions will play on Tuesday, March 5, at 7 p.m., at the Gallogly Events Center.
The home game will be the second home playoff game in UCCS women's basketball history and the first since the 2001-02 season. The Mountain Lions clinched the home spot after a 72-66 win at Regis and a 42-32 loss by Colorado State-Pueblo at Metro State tonight.
The win tonight for UCCS matches the most victories in program history at 19 and guarantees a top four finish in the RMAC standings.
Tickets for Tuesday's game will only be available at the door. Prices are $8 for adults, $4 for seniors age 65 and older, $4 for UCCS alumni and for non-UCCS students with ID, and free for the first 500 UCCS students and for the first 100 students from the visiting institution. Parking on campus will be free.
Fans are encouraged to wear their gold for Tuesday's "Gold Rush" promotion. Doors to Gallogly Events Center will open at 6 p.m.
Season passes for America One subscribers are not valid for RMAC postseason events. The game will available for streaming for $9.
The home playoff game on Tuesday will be the fourth conference postseason event hosted by UCCS in the 2012-13 academic year. The Mountain Lions hosted the 2012 RMAC Cross Country Championships on Oct. 20, and the opening rounds of the men's and women's soccer tournaments on Oct. 31.
