UCCS Looks to Continue 7-Game Win Streak Friday in Alamosa

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team (16-4 / 13-3)  looks to continue their best run in program history as they take on Adams State (8-12 / 5-11) this Friday in Alamosa.

The Mountain Lions are currently on a seven game winning streak for the first time since 2000-01, and a win this Friday would match the longest streak in program history set in 1992-93.

The Mountain Lions have won the previous two meeting against the Grizzlies, but trail in the all time series 15-17. UCCS won the last meeting 69-45 on December 1, of this season.

The Mountain Lions are first in the RMAC in assists per game (17), defensive rebounds (28), three-point percent (37.3), which ranks 9th in the nation and field goal percent (44.5), which also ranks 6th in the nation.

The long rang attack is led by Jeri Pikul (46.7) and Gabby Ramirez (44.2) who rank third and fourth best in the RMAC respectively for 3-point percent.

Leading the way for the Grizzlies on offense is K. Hernandez 13.1 points per game. She is 6th in the conference in field goal percent, shooting 50.6 percent on the season.

Follwing the game against Adams State, UCCS will be back on the road the next night as they take on Fort Lewis (12-8 / 11-5) in Durango.
