COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team (4-16 / 4-12 RMAC) will look to avenge a two-point loss earlier this season with the Mountain Lions take on Adams State (14-5 / 12-4 RMAC) at 8 p.m. tonight at Plachy Hall.

UCCS was leading the Grizzlies 65-64 until an Adams State student-athlete was fouled on a three-point attempt with one second left. James Lake converted all three free throws for the 67-65. The Mountain Lions out-rebounded the Grizzlies 44-37, to mark one of the five games where Adams State was out-rebounded this season. The Grizzlies have held a rebounding advantage in eight of the last nine games, compared to the Mountain Lions' rebounding advantage in the last four games.

The Grizzlies were receiving votes in this week's national poll after being ranked No. 14 in last week's poll. Adams State lost to Western New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands last weekend by a combined six points, and allowed 74 points in both games in New Mexico.

The Mountain Lions will be making a final push for the RMAC tournament with six games remaining in the regular season. UCCS is four games out of the tournament and four games out of a four-way tie for sixth in the standings. The Mountain Lions face a tough schedule to close out the season with three nationally-recognized teams in the final six games.

Derrick White can continue his climb up the record charts for free throws in a season tonight. The true freshman has 122 free throws and is fourth in the Mountain Lion record books. He needs three more to tie Jim Williams' mark from the 1987-88 season, and needs 11 to tie Patrick Hannaway's total from the 2006-07 season. White is the leading freshman scorer in the RMAC with 16.6 points per game.

Fans can follow tonight's game with live stats through the Adams State Sports Information Office, live audio from UCCS Radio (feed courtesy of KSPK) and live video streaming through America One Networks. Additional updates will be available on the Mountain Lions' twitter account, @GoMountainLions.
