COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs will look to rebound after a fifth game decided by single digits tonight when the Mountain Lions (0-9 / 0-5 RMAC) take on Western New Mexico (4-5 / 3-2 RMAC) tonight at the WNMU Fieldhouse in Silver City, N.M. It will be the final game for both teams before the mandatory Division II holiday break.

The Mountain Lions are coming off a 77-71 loss to New Mexico Highlands last night, despite the best scoring and rebounding effort of the season. Derrick White led UCCS in scoring for the seventh time this season with a season-best 21 points and shot 55 percent from the field.

The Mustangs defeated Colorado State-Pueblo last night in a 99-87 win to snap a two-game conference losing streak. Western New Mexico is 3-0 at home this season, with a victory against two-time defending conference champions Colorado Mines.

UCCS is leading the RMAC in conference-only games in rebounding margin (+6.4) and offensive rebounds (14.0/game). The Mountain Lions have only been out-rebounded once in the last six games, dating back to the non-conference San Francisco State game, and was only out-rebounded by one board against Regis. The 48 rebounds last night were also the most of the season and the fourth 40-rebound game in the five conference games.
