Mountain Lions Take on Rangers for First RMAC Win for Both Teams
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Both teams tonight, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and Regis University, will be going for their first wins of the conference season at 7:30 p.m. in the Gallogly Events Center. The Mountain Lions (0-7 / 0-3 RMAC) haven't lost to the Rangers (1-4 / 0-2 RMAC) at home since the 2007-08 season.
UCCS will be closing out a four-game homestand and playing in the Gallogly Events Center for the last time until Jan. 11. The Downtown Classic with CSU-Pueblo will be the next time the Mountain Lions play in Colorado Springs on Jan. 5.
The Mountain Lions have brought down more than 40 rebounds for the third straight game this season and outrebounded their opponents for the fourth time this season. UCCS leads the RMAC with a rebounding margin of +8.7 in conference games only.
UCCS continues to be among the conference leaders in both blocked shots and in personal fouls committed. The Mountain Lions made three blocked shots last night and made three or more blocked shots for the fourth times this season. The 14 personal fouls last night, split among the two halves, kept the Mountain Lions second in the RMAC in fewest fouls committed. UCCS has only gone into the double bonus in five of the 14 halves this season.
Fans can follow tonight's game with live stats, along with pay-per-view video streaming through America One Networks. M.J. Arjomandi will carry the play-by-play during tonight's broadcast.
