The University of Colorado Colorado Springs will conclude the 2012 men's basketball exhibition season tonight when the Mountain Lions (1-0 exhibition) take on Division I Northern Colorado (0-0 exhibition) at the Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion. UCCS is coming off a 75-70 victory in the first exhibition game of the season against Northern New Mexico last month. Darius Pardner led the Mountain Lions with 19 points off the bench as the team shot 54 percent from the field.

The Mountain Lions were picked No. 11 in the RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll with a number of top student-athletes from last year's team returning the 2012-13 season. Alex Koehler, the second-best three-point shooter in the conference last season with 47 percent, and Pardner, a conference leader in several categories, are the top RMAC student-athletes returning for the season.

The meeting will be the first between the two teams since a 96-91 victory for UCCS in the 2006-07 season-opener. Academic All-American Patrick Hannaway led both teams in that game with a 28-point performance against the Bears in his final season for the Mountain Lions
