Nuggets Coach George Karl to Lead Clinic at UCCS Saturday
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Denver Nuggets Head Coach George Karl and members of his coaching staff will lead a clinic Saturday afternoon in the Gallogly Events Center on the University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus. The clinic will run from 4-7:30 p.m. with registration starting at 3:30 p.m.
Coaches can participate for $10 with free parking on campus and can pay with cash or a check payable to UCCS Athletics to participate. The nearest parking lots off of Austin Bluffs Parkway are Lot 3 and Lot 4.
Topics for the clinic include offensive and defensive concepts and Coach Karl's keys to winning basketball. Nuggets Strength Coach Steve Hess will also discuss bringing passion to coaching.
Karl is seventh in NBA history with 1,074 victories since the 1984-85 season. He's led the Denver Nuggets to the playoffs in each of his eight seasons as head coach and as far as the conference finals in the 2008-09 season. In addition to Denver, Karl has also coached the Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle SuperSonics, Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
