Mountain Lion Men and Women Swept by NMHU

LAS VEGAS, NM - On the second half of their New Mexico road trip, both UCCS basketball teams lost to the New Mexico Highlands University Cowboys/Cowgirls on Saturday night at the John A. Wilson Complex in Las Vegas, NM. 

In the first game, the Lady Mountain Lions lost 65-71. UCCS twin sisters Danielle and Jessica Brown put together nice games scoring 28 and 13 respectively.  This loss drops the UCCS women to 10-10 overall, 6-9 RMAC.

The second game of the double header didn't fair any better for UCCS.  The men dropped their game 71-88, despite an 18 point effort by George Pollard.  The UCCS men dropped to 7-14 overall, 6-9 RMAC.

The Mountain Lions will look to rebound against CSU-Pueblo on Saturday, February 4th in the 4th Annual Blackout Night!  Get there early for your official Blackout Night Shirt, Rally Towel, Food, Prizes and Other Giveaways! Festivities start at 4 pm in Berger Hall followed by the games at 5:30 and 7:30 pm.  Go Mountain Lions!
