UCCS student-athletes, Clyde enjoy
COLORADO SPRINGS - Student-athletes from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs participated in the "Spirit of the Springs" pep rally on Sept. 16 at the Pioneers Museum.
The Mayor's Spirit of the Springs initiative encourages citizens to celebrate, connect and become involved in Colorado Springs, through arts and culture, fitness, activities, and local traditions. The program is a call to action for all ages to get involved, meet others in our city and see how all of us will contribute to our community in some personal way.
Along with food and craft stands, the student-athletes enjoys performances by area high school cheerleaders, live music and games. They also got to test the latest in bicycling concepts.
Particularly popular among the many children in attendance was Clyde, the UCCS mascot. Also in attendance was Air Force's The Bird and the mascot from Colorado College.
