University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball coach Corey Laster announced Thursday that he has received a National Letter of Intent from Tori Fisher, a center from University High School in Greeley, Colo.

"Tori is a big post who plays hard on both ends of the floor," said Laster. "Tori has a big upside and will provide depth in our post position. She has the potential to help right away."

Fisher, listed at 6-foot-1, is currently averaging 24.8 points and 14.4 rebounds per game in this, her senior season, at University HS.

She was fifth in the state with 11.2 rebounds per game as a junior while also posting 13.6 points, 2.7 steals and 1.7 blocked shots. She was an honorable mention all-state as well as an academic all-state selection in 2011.

Laster believes that Fisher will adapt quickly to the collegiate game and the Mountain Lions' program.

"She played club ball with (incoming freshman) Gabby Ramirez and she is familiar with our offense," he said. "She comes from a great family who we are excited to have about of our program."

An outstanding overall athlete, Fisher was the Colorado Class 3A high jump champion in 2009 and took fourth place in the event in both 2010 and 2011.
