December 9, 2011Last chance to sign up for the road trip Friday!It's going to be ROAD TRIP time on Friday, Dec. 9 for UCCS students, faculty, staff, boosters and fans.Mountain Lions supporters will have the opportunity to bus to the UCCS basketball teams' road games against Colorado School of Mines in Golden on that day. Buses will leave at 3 p.m. with snacks served on board. Later, a VIML (Very Important Mountain Lion) reception (more free food) will be held along with plenty of giveaways.
November 28, 2010UCCS women’s basketball recovers from 10-Point deficit in scrimmageLA JUNTA, Colo. - The UCCS Women’s Basketball team kicked off the season with a win against Otero Junior College in their first scrimmage on Wednesday. The win broke the ice for the rest of the year's upcoming challenges. Though the team got off to a rocky start, trailing by nine for most of the first half, the girls picked up their defense. Combine that with the increased execution on the offensive end in the second half, and you can see how they pulled off a 10 point win.
November 2, 2011Mountain Lions hold on for exhibition win over Division I Air ForceCOLORADO SPRINGS – Jessica and Danielle Brown scored 25 of their combined 29 points in the first half as the Mountain Lions built a big lead and held on to defeat the NCAA Division I Air Force Falcons 66-65 Wednesday evening in an exhibition game.
