Jones Named RMAC Offenive Player of the Week
Brent Jones of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, the RMAC announced Monday.
Jones led the Mountain Lions with 24 points per game during this past weekend's games against Chadron State (W) and Nebraska-Kearney (L). He had 27 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals in Friday's win over Chadron State, and followed with 21 points, eight rebounds, three blocked shots, two steals and two assists Saturday against Nebraska-Kearney.
For the season, the senior from West Linn, Ore., is fourth in the RMAC in scoring at 16.7 points per game, sixth in rebounding at 6.5 per game and sixth in blocked shots at 1.0 per game.
It was Jones' second player of the week award this season. He was previously named the RMAC's defensive player of the week for the week of Jan. 17-23.
