Four Mountain Lions Named to RMAC All-Academic Basketball Teams
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs senior Brent Jones and sophomore Lauren Wolfinger were named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's first and second team All-Academic teams respectively, the RMAC announced Tuesday.
In addition, senior Rob Howe was named to the men's All-Academic Honor Roll and junior Payden Ackerman received the same recognition on the women's side.
A Business major from West Linn, Ore., Jones has a 3.41 GPA. He leads the Mountain Lions with 15.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and is shooting 55.3 percent from the field.
Wolfinger, a sophomore from Longmont, Colo., has a 3.43 GPA in Communications. She is also her team's leading scorer at 15.2 points per game and has made 38 3-pointers, nearly double the next-best total. She's also second on the team in assists (34) and third in steals (21).
Howe is a business major with a 3.57 GPA and Ackerman is a Communications major with a 3.86 GPA.
