Holm named player of the week
COLORADO SPRINGS â€" Lauren Holm of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was name the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference East Division player of the week for the week of Jan. 11-17, the conference announced Monday.
The senior from Denver averaged 15.5 points, 2.5 rebounds while going 7-of-13 field goals from the field, including 2-of-5 from 3-point range. Holm also made 15 of her 16 free throw attempts in a road split against Western State and Mesa State.
Holm led the Mountain Lions with 22 points as UCCS beat Western State on Jan. 15 to earn its first RMAC win of the season The next night against Mesa State, Holm had nine points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
It was the first player of the week award for Holm and the second this season for a UCCS player. Mallory Lowe was named player of the week for games played prior to Nov. 22.
