Three Mountain Lions named third-team All-RMAC East Division
Chris Fernandez, Alex Snyder and Ben Feilmeier were all named third-team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference East Division for men's basketball, the conference announced Wednesday.
Fernandez averaged 9.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for UCCS. The junior from Aurora, Colo., shot 38.8 percent from 3-point range. Snyder a senior from Colorado Springs, shot a team-best 57.4 percent from the field while averaging 9.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Feilmeier averaged 9.7 points and 2.5 assists per game. The junior from Colorado Springs made 34.6 percent of his 3-point attempts and made a team-best 47 from long range.
Matt Dominguez of Mesa State was named the RMAC Player of the Year. Colorado Christian's Justin Neuhaus was named the defensive player of the year, Nick Fox of Adams State was the freshman of the year and Mesa State's Jim heaps was the coach of the year.
