Lowe, Bessert named all-tournament

UCCS post players Mallory Lowe and Alyse Bessert were named to the all-tournament team for the Adams State Bankers Classic, which concluded on Oct. 21.

Lowe averaged 18 points and 9.5 rebounds per game during the tournament, during which the Mountain Lions beat Oklahoma Panhandle State and Northern New Mexico. The junior from Bushnell, Ill., shot 45.2 percent from the field and 80 percent from the foul line.

Bessert put up 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds during the tournament. The junior transfer from Fort Hays State made 10 of her 13 (76.9 percent) of her field goal attempts.
