McClung named to all-tournament team
COLORADO SPRINGS â€" Colorado College and Black Hills State were named the co-champions of the 2009 Marriott Mountain Lion Classic, which concluded on Saturday.
Both teams posted 2-0 records during the tournament. The other two participants, Bethany College and host University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, each went 0-2.
Luke Enos of Black Hills State was named the tournament MVP after averaging 20.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, five assists and 1.5 blocks over his team's two games.
Teammate Will John Johnson averaged only eight points per game but dominated elsewhere. He averaged 14 rebounds and three blocks per game for the Yellowjackets.
Nick Rose of Colorado College gave Enos a chase in the MVP race. Rose averaged 22.5 points and five rebounds per game. Fellow Tiger Jeremiah Waters chipped in with 15 points and four rebounds per game and made 6-of-11 from 3-point range.
Also named to the all-tournament team were Jordan McClung of UCCS (17.5 points and three assists per game while shooting 12-of-22 overall and 7-of-14 from 3-point range) and Rodd Williams of Bethany.
