OGDEN, Utah â€" The Weber State Wildcats hit 13 consecutive 3-pointers and 19 overall to knock off the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs menâ€TMs basketball team 110-58 in the exhibition opener for both teams Monday evening at Dee Events Center.

The Division I Wildcats got a 3-pointer from Nick Hansen less than three minutes into the game and didnâ€TMt miss from long range until the clock showed 1:52 left in the period. Damian Lillard had 20 of his 27 points in the first half as Weber State went into the intermission leading 58-31.

"Obviously if you make 13 straight three-pointers, you are probably going to have a pretty good lead in the game if you are playing some good defense, which we did in the first half." said Weber State coach Randy Rahe.

Jordan McClung, Ben Feilmeier and Scott Sublousky each had 11 points for UCCS. Chris Fernandez grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and blocked two shots.

Weber State made 13 of its 16 3-point attempts in the first half and followed by hitting 6-of-10 in the second to finish with 73.1 percent accuracy.

Lillard, last year's Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year, had a near-perfect night hitting all eight of his field goal attempts, including six from beyond the arc. His only miss came from the foul line, where he went 5-for-6. He also had seven assists.

Weber State made 62 percent from the field overall while holding the Mountain Lions to just 21-56 (37.5 percent) from the floor, forcing 19 turnovers.
