McCollum, Smith honored by RMAC

Frank McCollum and Cole Smith of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs were named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference menâ€TMs basketball second- and third-teams, respectively, the conference announced Wednesday.

A senior from Widefield, Colo., Frank averaged 10.7 points per game to lead the Mountain Lions this season. He also was second on the team in rebounds and blocks, and third in assists. He earns All-RMAC second-team honors to go with the second-team academic All-RMAC that he received earlier in the season.

Junior Cole Smith from Burlington, Colo. earns All-RMAC third-team in his first season with the Mountain Lions. Averaging 9.7 points per game off of 57% shooting from the field, the Otero Junior College product earned third-team honors while coming off of the bench for the Mountain Lions.

McCollum and Smith helped the Mountain Lions to only their third RMAC play-off birth in school history and a 10-9 record in regular season RMAC play.
