Awa-Williams named to all-tournament team
ALAMOSA - Jazzmin Awa-Williams of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was named to the Adams State Bankers Classic all-tournament team, tournament officials announced late Saturday.
The Mountain Lions and the host Grizzlies, both of whom went 0-2 in the tournament, each had one player named to the squad. West Texas A&M and Lubbock Christian, both of which went 2-0, had two players each named.
Awa-Williams averaged 10.5 points and two rebounds per game during the tournament. The sophomore from Kailuakona, Hawaii, followed a six-point performance against West Texas A&M with 15 points against Lubbock Christian on perfect 7-for-7 shooting from the field, including one 3-pointer.
