The summer prior to relocating in Germany, Sublousky was named one of the top juniors at the Adidas West Coast Double Pump camp. He was also named to the all-tournament team at the MaxPrep Division I Top of the Rockies tournament.

Sublousky spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Liberty High School in Colorado Springs. As a sophomore, he was a starting guard on the Lancers team that advanced all the way to the Elite Eight and was named honorable mention all-conference. He was an academic all-conference selection as well.
