Hannaway named player of the week
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs senior forward Patrick Hannaway was named the Baden / Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference East Division player of the week, the conference announced Monday.
Hannaway matched his career high with 28 points to lead the Mountain Lions to an upset victory over the NCAA Division I Northern Colorado Bears Friday night at Greeley. The Doherty High School graduate added seven rebounds, seven assists and a steal.
Hannaway was also efficient, hitting 10 of his 14 field goal attempts (71.4 percent) to lead UCCS to a school-record 64.2 percent team mark from the field. The team's previous high was 64 percent against Western State on Dec. 18, 1998.
It was Hannaway's second RMAC player of the week honor. He was previously recognized for the week of Dec. 13-19, 2005.
