Pecic named player of the week

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs senior Jim Pecic was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference West Division player of the week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Pecic averaged 20.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocked shot as the Mountain Lions split a pair of RMAC home contests this past weekend defeating Western State, 69-68, and losing to Mesa State, 87-66.

For the two games, Pecic converted 48.5 percent (16-of- 33) of his field goal attempts and was 57.1 percent (8-for-14) from the foul line. Pecic led UCCS to its first win of the season as he registered his seventh double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds versus the Mountaineers.

Pecic is the first UCCS player to receive the award this season.
