UCCS to televise basketball games
The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs' men's basketball game against the Colorado College Tigers Tuesday night will be televised on Adelphia channel 20, the University announced Monday. The university also announced plans to televise the Mountain Lions' men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Western State on Feb. 25.
The late confirmation of the broadcast was due to some technical hurdles that were finally cleared up over the weekend.
CU-Colorado Springs assistant sports information director Mike McNeely will handle the play-by-play. Athletic director Stephen Kirkham, a veteran of 27 years of coaching including 16 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, will handle color commentary.
The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., and will be preceded by a 10-minute pregame show.
